Our admissions process is multilayered so that you can get to know us, and we can get to know you. Below is additional information regarding each step of applying to HPA.

Registration for our tours and other admissions events is done through your parent portal, which is created once you fill out an inquiry form.

OPEN HOUSE

Join us with your family on October 25 from 10am-12pm as we open our campus for exploration. Classrooms at all grades will be welcoming visitors, teachers will be available to speak with you about our program, and our specialists will be on-hand to illuminate their craft.

Current student and alumni student panels will complete the afternoon.

Our tours are the best way to get to know our program, campus, community, and philosophy. You will mingle with current parents, engage with our Head of School, hear from students, and explore our campus as you learn more about what has made High Point a pillar of independent education in Los Angeles for over 60 years.

Once you have decided to pursue a High Point education, you can complete your child’s application via the checklist items on your portal log-in.

Our sibling application deadline is Friday, November 14, 2025.
The application deadline for all other students is Friday, January 16, 2026.

A teacher recommendation (all applicants) and transcript (entry for grades 1-7 only) are required.
Submission of supporting documents opens on November 1, 2025 and must be completed no later than February 1, 2026.

We encourage all families to submit their materials as soon as possible in an effort to assist the admissions office in processing all applications in a timely manner.

Children applying to Kindergarten must turn five years old by September 1, 2026.

A non-refundable application fee of $125 confirms your application.

Visit days are an important part of the application process and a wonderful way for us to get to know your child. Applicants for Kindergarten will participate in an hour-long play date and student candidates for grades 1-7 will join an active classroom for a three-hour period. In both cases, children will interact with their peers through play, engage with our faculty as they participate in learning, and get a sense for what it is like to be a High Point Eagle.

Parent interviews will take place with a school administrator during your child’s visit. You will be able to schedule your student’s visit day once you have applied for admission.

Decisions for the 2026-27 school year will be released via our portal at 5pm on Friday, March 13, 2026.

A completed contract, deposit, and new family fee are required by noon on Friday, March 20, 2026 in order to confirm your child’s place at High Point Academy.
