Apply to Kindergarten
Please read each step before you begin the kindergarten application process. Children applying to kindergarten for the 2020-2021 school year must be 5 years old by September 1, 2020. All applications are due January 24, 2020. Please call the admissions office for more information.
Make a reservation online to join a tour or attend an Open House. These events are designed for parents, however older school-aged children may attend. (See "Admissions Tours and Open Houses".)
Complete and submit the online application. You will be prompted to pay the $125 application fee before you can successfully complete the application process. If you wish to pay with an alternative method or have any questions regarding the payment process, please call our office at (626) 798-8989 ext. 0015.
Give the Kindergarten Recommendation Form and a stamped envelope addressed to High Point Academy to your child’s current preschool teacher. These forms are due February 1.
Schedule an appointment with Integrated Learning Solutions (ILS) by visiting their website, www.integratedlearningsolutions.org, or by calling (626) 568-8558. Please click here for more information about the ILS screening process.
Schedule your child’s visit to High Point. The Admissions Office will contact you after the application is received, to schedule your child’s visit to one of our play date sessions. These visits will be held in January and February at 2:15 p.m. During these visits, your child, along with a small group of children, will participate in group activities that will allow us to get to know them. While you wait, you will have a chance to talk to current parents and will meet with our School administrator who will answer any questions you may have.

Kindergarteners must be five years old by September 1 of their entering year.
