KINDERGARTEN

The kindergarten curriculum at High Point is best suited to developmentally mature students, yet takes into consideration the warmth and care needed by beginning kindergartners starting their school experience. We move through typical kindergarten tasks and begin reading and writing during the first semester. By the end of the school year, the children have a strong foundation and enthusiasm for future learning.

Is My Child Ready?
The most commonly asked question, “Is my child ready?”, is also our greatest concern. Throughout the screening process, we work to determine the child’s developmental level in many areas. Assessment at this young age is not a perfect process. Each child is unique; therefore, we screen in small groups with experienced teachers in an effort to watch each child individually while they work at various tasks.
